The Poetry

This is a collection of poems I have written on this site.

I have been writing poetry ever since I first tried to woo that girl in high school whose locker was just down the hall from mine and once needed help jamming her locker door shut because the shelf had come off, but she was late for class and didn’t have time to re-stack the fallen books. Since then, I have become a hopeless romantic and a logophile, agonizing over the perfect words to express love in a poem.

This is my little playground of words: the monkey-bars of nouns, the tire-swings of adjectives, the slide-chutes of verbs – all nestling in a sandpit filled with grains of rhymes and punctuation and painted with overlapping coats of metaphors.

I hope you enjoy these poems and please feel free to give me your opinions.
